Beauly Primary and Nursery Blog 2012-2013

January Newsletter

Our latest newsletter is now available to view.

Many thanks to those of you who signed up for paperless copy, Mrs Ritchie in the office has sent it to you this afternoon.

A hard copy will be on display in the school external noticeboard from Monday.

Lost key

Just to say what looks like a single house key was handed into the school office this morning.

It was found across the road from school.

Please contact the school office if you think it could be yours.

Run, Beauly run!!!!

We are going to go for it this morning!!!!! Thank you to everyone who has sponsored the children.

Sorry for the short notice but the weather is looking ok….. We are running a circuit on the tarmac as the field is saturated.

9.15  Nursery, Primary 1 and Primary 2/3

10.00 Primary 3/4 and Primary 4/5

11.00 Primary 5/6 and P7

1.30 Nursery and P7 young leaders

Fun run, take three…..

Apologies for the lack of blog updates today re the fun run. The Internet service across Highland Council schools is down presently. Today’s weather was too unpredictable for us to run safely so we are crossing our fingers and toes for calmer weather tomorrow. Re the timings we are just going to go for it when an appropriate window in the weather appears!

Test Post

This is a test post to see if technical difficulties have been resolved.

I would appreciate it if you could leave a comment if you have received it.

Many thanks

P7 stars of the future

A huge well done to our Primary 7 class who came 2nd today at a school’s rugby competition organised by Highland Rugby Club. The tournament was the final event in a term long series of rugby coaching sessions. The weather was kind for spectators but the players had a rather muddy experience!!!!

Thanks to Laurie Cuthbertson, Highland Rugby Football Club Development Officer who organised today and spent time coaching our pupils.

A big well done to all of the Primary 7 pupils who put themselves forward for the House Captain elections yesterday. It was a close contest with two houses having to vote a second time following a tiebreak situation for the position of Deputy House Captain.

Congratulations to Zoe and Olivia who will represent Glass, Carmen and Arran who will represent Affric, Ollie and Ellie who will represent Kilmorack and  Rhys and Abigaile who will represent Aird.

It is nice to see them wearing their badges with pride today.

House Captain

Well done to Oisin, Jessica, Andrew, Alasdair and Sarah who achieved great success at the recent Poolewe Mod.

“We sang songs as a group and came 1st in all of the competitions.”

“Jessica sang a solo and won 1st place.”

“It was very exciting and we had a day off school, we were all very nervous but felt so happy when we won!”

“Altogether we won 3 huge trophies”

It sounds like the children had a great experience and once again well done from all at Beauly Primary!
